St. Bernadette offers Youth Ministry for 4th-12th grade youth! The Youth on Fire can Be Involved/ Meet new friends, Grow in Faith, Have Fun, and pray!
Prayer is at the core of our routines! Any event we have begins and ends in prayer. We can pray for you or you can pray for our youth here at St. Bernadette! Click the learn more tab if you need prayers or want to pray for our youth here at St. Bernadette!
All youth Events are posted here alongside the Sign ups for the events! We hope to see you at all the events! Click “here” or on the “youth events” button to the left to see whats going on! All of the things we do below like Grow in faith, or get involved, or having fun all start at the events we do!
Growing your faith can be fun and exciting! We have two primary ways to grow your Faith. You can attend Youth on Fire or attend a Youth Conference (like Mountain Madness below)! Growing our faith calls us to community. All of the events we do coincide with a portion of growing our faith! We grow in faith by learning stuff relevant to the culture we live in, relevant to the personal life of your youth, and relevant to faith norms. Everything we teach and learn is routed biblically and catechetically which is all prayed about and discerned on by staff at the parish! Everything we do is inspired by the Holy Spirit!
Getting involved and Meeting new Friends can happen many ways in youth group! We have so many opportunities to share in faith and fellowship. We have lots of High school youth that live in the Lakewood area that are willing to hang out, and have fun! Each of these youth want to meet new friends and are very involved with youth group!
In youth group, having fun is what we do best! Aside from our regular Youth on Fire events we have fun events such as hikes, go to Water-world, have water wars, play games, and share laughs! All the events we do lead us to having fun! Do you think teenage Jesus was always serious. No he might have been playing pranks on his dad while they worked as carpenters, or scaring his mom (like when he got lost)! Our faith can be serious but our faith can allow us to have fun while getting to know God!
