“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you” (Matt 7:7). God asks us to seek him and to know the truth so that we may have the abundant life he came to give. It is our goal to open the word of God to all, where ever they may be in their faith journey and guide them to a greater understanding of the catholic faith. We are making the call for disciples and want to empower each person through opportunities to learn in as a community, small group, online or individually.

Recognizing that God has given us these gifts through the life of his son Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we to have to put some skin in the game. The following questions are intended to help you reflect on the call you feel to receive the sacraments. You may not be able to say yes to each of these questions today but these questions give you and brief outline of the journey.

Sacramental preparation classes will teach the foundations of the Catholic Faith and support you (or your family member) as you learn.

The following is a brief summation of The Catholic Life:
-Attend mass every weekend even if you attend masse during the week.
-Practice both, receiving the Eucharist and attending Confession on a regular basis
   -Involved in the community
-Recognizes that the teachings of the faith cannot be completely covered in 9 months of classes, or a set number of years of school. Learning is critical to a lifetime of Faith formation.
-Shares what they have received in knowledge and faith with others (in their own way).

Questions to ask yourself:
-Do I attend Mass every Sunday to honor my obligation to God?
-Do I participate in the Mass by responding, singing and following the prayers of the priest?
   -Do I pray daily?
-Do I believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Eucharist?
-Do I know the foundational prayers of the Catholic Faith?
        -Our Father
        -Hail Mary
        -Glory Be
        -Rosary
        -The Apostles/Nicene Creed
-Do I have a person over 16 who is in full communion with the Catholic Church who is willing to walk this journey with me or am I willing to walk with a current parishioner of St. Bernadette?

Provides an opportunity for youth in grades 4-12 to come together in spiritual and social gatherings, as well as access to their own smaller community where they can share their lives and faith. This ministry serves the larger community through a variety of events throughout the year. There is something powerful in hearing young people tell their story and how God is in it. Leaders for various activities are critical to give our youth an opportunity to grow in their Catholic faith. Youth Group is meeting with the Faith Formation community on the 1st and 3rd Sunday.
